Welcome to my monthly blog progress report. June is my fifth month of blogging. Whew! Time flies.
This month was kinda slow for me. Partly because it has gotten too busy at my full-time job, so it took away some of my blogging time. It had helped tremendously that I had prewritten some blog posts during my downtime.
So lesson learned, write as much as you can when you can.
Before we go on, let me tell you a little bit about me and why I am sharing my blog’s progress.
Please note that this post may contain affiliate links.
My name is Charity. I started wishfulmom.com at the end of January 2017. Originally, my blog’s goal is to share my journey through infertility with hopes to inspire other hopeful moms struggling with infertility. Then after doing research, I found that I can also actually make money from it. So I decided to monetize wishfulmom.com while documenting the progress.
It has only been three months, but it felt like years, so many trials and errors but definitely a learning curve.
Blogging is not a get rich quick scheme.
It does take time and requires a lot of patience. A lot of bloggers who have been blogging for a while are reaping the benefits of their hard work. Hopefully, someday, I will get there too.
Why do I post my monthly progress Report?
I decided to post my monthly status report for the following reasons.
I wanted to put my goals into writing. Studies show that goals which are written down are most likely to be accomplished. I found that if I write down a “to do list,” I’m more inclined and motivated to make it happen.
By putting down how my blog did for the month gives me an idea of what worked and what didn’t work. I will be able to pinpoint what I needed to work on.
Transparency and Full Disclosure
One of the goals of wishfulmom is to help others start and grow their online biz. So by showing them how the blog is doing, I can create transparency and trust.
I started reporting my blog’s progress because I was inspired by other blogger’s income reports. By doing this, I hope to inspire someone as well.
Bragging is never my INTENTION and will never be. Purely inspirational and motivational.

I use Google Analytics to track my progress. I also have Jetpack in my WordPress, but Google Analytics is the most common place where companies will check you out.

Social Media Numbers
I have signed up with six social media platforms, but honestly, I haven’t been very active in all of them. I am trying to focus on one at a time.
I haven’t actually made much this month, but for transparency’s sake, I will still show you.
Since I like to diversify my income, I have included some earnings I get from other sites.
Inbox Dollars $0.88
Total Income $24.62
Please note that I post income as I earn them. The numbers motivate me, and I can check what’s working and what’s not.
I barely made anything this month, and I think the decrease in traffic very well explains it.
In every business, you always need to make an investment. Being new to blogging, I needed to learn so I invested in some tools, e-courses, and e-books. This month, I invested in an awesome bundle which will keep me busy for a long time.
Total Expenses $99
Now it’s time to check how I did this month.
